Eligibility
At least one must be met for the patient to be eligible for referral.
Clinically suspected or confirmed vertigo - ent with initial primary-care work-up completed
Red flags
Indicate urgent (Category 1) referral or emergency assessment.
Sudden onset debilitating vertigo where the patient is unsteady on their feet or unable to walk without assistance
Barotrauma with sudden onset vertigo, or symptoms suggestive of stroke or transient ischaemic attacks
Routine referral criteria
Determine Category 2 or 3 urgency.
Vertigo that has not responded to vestibular physiotherapy treatment
