Eligibility

At least one must be met for the patient to be eligible for referral.

Clinically suspected or confirmed corneal conditions with initial primary-care work-up completed

Routine referral criteria

Determine Category 2 or 3 urgency.

Corneal and ocular surface conditions including — progressive corneal conditions causing vision loss

Corneal and ocular surface conditions including — corneal melting disorders

Corneal and ocular surface conditions including — graft versus host disease

Corneal and ocular surface conditions including — new pigmented corneal or conjunctival lesions

Corneal and ocular surface conditions including — ocular surface squamous neoplasia

Corneal and ocular surface conditions including — patient requires corneal transplant

Corneal and ocular surface conditions including — progressive cicatrising conjunctivitis

Corneal and ocular surface conditions including — progressive keratoconus

Corneal and ocular surface conditions including — symptomatic pterygium

Corneal and ocular surface conditions including — symptomatic, recurrent corneal erosion syndrome

Usually managed in primary care
