Indicate urgent (Category 1) referral or emergency assessment.
Routine referral criteria
Determine Category 2 or 3 urgency.
Usually managed in primary care
- Confirm whether the patient already has an adrenaline autoinjector and document the brand and expiry.
- Provide an interim ASCIA Anaphylaxis Action Plan and demonstrate device technique.
- Refer early — ongoing PBS supply requires specialist authorisation.
